Etsy Shop

Now on Etsy (well have been for a while but I've been slacking) Here is Little Tiger 4x4 Acrylic on canvas. I am not the best salesman but I really want to get this Etsy shop going so I will try to add a new piece each week. Here's the first of what I hope will be several posts. Toy Break!

"Toy Break" is a weekly Internet show I've been watching for about a year. It features designer vinyl, plush, action figures, collectibles, events, how-tos, interviews, huge beards and more! If you're into toys and art you'll definitely dig this show.

The drawing of the big blue guy was done for a contest they're having. The contest isn't skills-based, it's more of a contest with art so it makes it nice to know there is no pressure and you can just relax and have fun with it. My drawing has a resemblance to one of the hosts who has a seriously bad ass beard.

"Brainstorming"

Just want to make a really quick post to let you in on what i'm doing. I'm trying to finish up a small strip and hopefully a tiny zine for this week. I'm also going to participate in Illustrationfriday.com to help get my creative juices going. You should check the site out, It's really neat and they have tons of cool artist participating. Chibi Wife.

Since my wife has been on a rampage taking polaroid shots on her Iphone, I thought I should make her one of my own using photoshop. I had a lot of fun making these and it was good practice in my part in trying to figure out how to digitally color my line work. I really love the last pic, my wife is an avid "Doctor Who" watcher. Father's Day was 9 days ago, yo!

Father's Day was pretty cool. I got to spend a lot of time with my awesome family. My daughter is on summer vacation so this was my first week with her being home with me so I thought I should do something special. I made a puppet out of an old sweater of mine. We named him fred and we played, watched Inuyasha, drew, and build blocks with him. I also had an idea of making a little home movie with her and Fred about being in space. She wasn't having it. My wife got this app that turns her digital pics into polaroids. I have to say they look pretty neat. Here are some of the pics my wife took. Enjoy!

Sketchbook Madness!

Here are a few pages out of my sketchbook. I try and make it a habit to carry it with me all the time. I'm still a bit shy when it comes to drawing in public. I'm blind as it is so sometimes when I'm drawing someone I start to think they probably notice and that I'm some kind of creep who keeps looking their way. I try to be stealth like but my narrow eyes must give me away and plus it must not help that I look like a uni bomber (according to my wife). I can't draw girls or at least I don't like the way they come out, but nothing a little bit of practice can't help. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to leave me a comment.
